GridSim v1.3 Update


New update! The following has changed:

  • After receiving feedback I've changed the game mechanics again: Bringing back the cash balance, which limits the equipment that can be purchased at one time and thus adds back the scarcity factor to the game.
  • The player can now set the electricity price per MW. This is 5MW by default, and if the player raises it their reputation will fall, while lowering it will raise the reputation. Obviously changing the electricity price will change the amount of revenue the player brings in.
  • Win and lose conditions are now added: Running out the timer will win the game, while the player's reputation or cash balance falling to zero will lose it.
  • Bitcoin Mining has been added to the list of equipment that can be purchased - Bitcoin Miners will consume electricity and generate revenue when turned on. They can help the player monetize electricity generation that otherwise wouldn't have been consumed and would have gone to waste.
